The arm-mounting hub has a locking notch that keeps the rack
from twisting in the wind in the up position when engaged with
the hub-alignment bolt. The galvanized pipe cap is predrilled
to accept the metal top perch (included), which is comprised of
two 3/8" solid aluminum arms, 28" long, an aluminum
mounting tube 1" x 1" x 2", a plastic cap, and
stainless steel hardware. The top perch offers the martins over
4-1/2 feet of perching area.
The two-piece pole comes with a seven-foot section of 1-1/4"
schedule 40 galvanized pipe, and a nine-foot section of 1"
pipe, all predrilled and tapped. Installed height of the Deluxe
Gourd Rack is 13 feet. The 12 stainless steel arms lock securely
into the hub assembly without the use of tools, similar to the
way artificial Christmas tree branches attach.
The Deluxe Gourd Rack is available in three configurations: as
a complete pole system with 12 predrilled SuperGourds (GRS-12),
as in photo; without any SuperGourds (GRP-12); or without SuperGourds,
the two-piece pole, and pipe cap (GRK-12).
