Expandable Deluxe 6 Gourd Rack (DGR6H)

The Deluxe 6 Unit Gourd Rack is top-of the line in construction and innovative design. It features our four-part rope and pulley system which will vertically lift and lower the hub section without the hub turning, with ease. Includes the 2-inch square 14-foot tall pole, aluminum heavy-duty ground stake, two solid 48" long top perch rods, the aluminum hub with installed glide buttons, 6 aluminum gourd-hanging arms, rope cleat, a pole cap and stainless hardware. Manufactured in Pennsylvania by the Troyer's, this gourd rack is superior in quality and craftsmanship. Available to bundle with your favorite starling-resistant gourd.

Features: It features a four-part pulley system for easy raising and lowering. The gourd arms slip easily in and out of the all-aluminum, assembled hub, which has nylon glide tabs for squeak-free operation. Also included; six 3/8” high-strength aluminum arms; 45-feet of polyester rope; an aluminum rope cleat; and a 2-inch-square aluminum pole assembly with a plastic pyramid pole cap and two solid 3/8" top perch rods.

Materials: Aluminum pole, aluminum ground stake, aluminum hub brackets, assembled to aluminum angle sides using stainless steel hardware. Six high-strength 3/8" solid aluminum gourd arms.

Dimensions: Two-inch square high-tensile strength two-piece aluminum pole and stands 14-feet above the ground when installed. Square poles are superior in strength to round martin poles.

Gourd Arms: Six 3/8" solid aluminum horizontal arms. Arms for "Deluxe" and "K-Series" style gourd racks have a 90-degree bend on the end that slips into the hub bracket. There are three configurations; straight that slip into the single hole on the hub bracket, and left and right, which are paired in an adjacent side of the hub. The horizontal gourd arms have a drilled hole at the end of the arm. Slip your gourd onto the arm and insert your supplied stainless hitch pin. The pin will keep your gourd from falling off.

Gourd Accommodation: Any plastic or natural gourd can be fitted to these horizontal-style gourd arms. If your gourds are not already drilled front-to-back in the upper neck, use a 13/32" drill bit to enlarge the hanging holes. SuperGourds have a drill guide in the neck of the gourd.

Four-part pulley system: Each of the pulleys carries a 1/4 of the load. If your 6 gourds and hub weigh a total of 30 pounds, you are pulling around 5 pounds. Always wear a good pair of grippy gloves when raising or lowering any gourd rack.

Easy Assembly.

Extras: This 6-arm rack comes with a hub designed to accept 6 additional arms on a lower tier (6up12Kit) in the future should you desire or conditions warrant it. You do not need to remove the hub from the pole to assemble this upgrade. There is also a 6 up 18 Kit available; you will need to remove the hub from the pole to upgrade the 6 up to an 18 unit. If upgrading to an 18 unit please consider the Two-foot Extension Piece. When adding height to your pole, your rope will become too short, please consider upgrading to a 55' rope.

Climbing Predator Protection: An optional pole guard (PGS or EZ2) that fits a square pole is available.

Optional Ground Sleeve: Ground Sleeves are an optional accessory that is used in conjunction with your ground stake (that is included with the gourd rack purchase). Normally you will cement your ground STAKE into the ground leaving 24" above ground. With a Ground Sleeve you cement the sleeve flush into the ground. Your Ground Stake is inserted inside the Sleeve and the Stake will be at the proper above ground height of 24". In both instances your pole will slide over the ground Stake, sitting on your concrete base. This sleeve will work only with the ground stake provided with your gourd rack purchase.
